Following a rather lengthy time, 27 years, as Senior Pastor here at Hillside Church, it is now my great privilege to be back on staff as Pastor of Care and Senior’s. These days, which for many are a time of retirement, is for me a time of joy in ministering to people who we have come to love and appreciate. My area of ministry concern is to those who are going through times of illness or sorrow, thus I visit many hospitals and rest homes in this area. Our Senior Citizen Ministry is a growing and vital time for folks who love to pray, study and fellowship together.
I have a rich heritage from childhood in the Turlock Evangelical Free Church where I came to Christ as a young man. Following graduation from Biola University, I received my Masters of Theology degree from Talbot Seminary in 1957. The Lord led us to 10 years of pastoral work in Southern California, and 6 years in Chico, California. How grateful we are that God brought us to Hillside Church back in 1966, and here we have invested our lives in the work of the Lord.
My wife, Lenore, and I recently celebrated our Golden Wedding Anniversary while at the same time rejoiced that God has allowed us 50 years of Pastoral Experience. What a rich and wonderful half century this has been for both of us.
