Women's Ministries

Purpose

We desire to introduce women to Jesus and inspire them to follow Him fully.  Therefore, we provide ministries that allow opportunities for Christian growth, cultivating friendships, service, and reaching out to others.

Thursday Bible Studies

Thursday Morning Bible Study
Our study will start September 23, from 9:30 to 11:45am. Our Study includes small group discussions and prayer, teaching, life stories, and special events. Mornings provide care for infants and toddlers and a preschool program for 3-5 year olds. Click here for more details.

Thursday Evening Bible Study
Our study will start September 23, from 6:55 to 9pm. Our Study includes small group discussions and prayer, teaching, life stories, and special events. Childcare is not available. Click here for more details. 

Precept Inductive Bible Studies

Our Wednesday Precept Bible Study is off for the summer and will start up September 15, 2010, from 9:00-11:30am.  All women are welcome. Invite a neighbor or relative to join you! Click here for more details.

Special Events

  • Breakfast Clubs

    • Breakfast Clubs are designed for women to meet other women as well as to invite a friend. Three times a year, they are hosted in homes on Saturday mornings, from 9:00-10:30am. Once a year we meet all together here at Hillside.

    Our first Breakast Club for the year is hosted here at Hillside Church, on Saturday, February 6, 9:00-11:00am. For more details and how to register for this Breakfast Club, please contact Jeannette at jeannette@hillside.org or 408-269-4782 *21.

  • Women's Retreat
Our 2010 Women’s Retreat will be held on March 12-14, down in Pacific Grove (Monterey Bay), at the Lighthouse Lodge & Suites. Our speaker is Mimi Moseley (Speaker/Author/Coach.) This will be a great weekend away with other women. More details about Registration will be available later in January. 

  • Women of Faith Conference

  • Girlfriend Gatherings
Coming soon will be information about "Girlfriend Gatherings" where you will have an opportunity once a month to meet with other women who share common hobbies, crafts, reading interests, physical exercise, and other interests. You can email Jeannette at jeannette@hillside.org and tell her what you enjoy so we can match you up with other girlfriends. Watch this website for more details.

Moms

  • Moms In Touch
You are invited to join moms of school-aged children to meet together to pray for your children and their schools. Contact Laural Pannabecker at 408.225.5621 for additional information.

Service Opportunities

  • Dorcas - White Cross Workers

    • This ministry is a branch of our Missions Ministries. Women (and men) meet September through June. We meet the first Wednesday of each month, from 9:30am to 12noon. Our Purpose: Prepare medical supplies for the Tandala Medical Center in Congo, Africa. In addition, baby sets are made, plus, we take part in special projects to help young children in Congo. Individuals of all ages are welcome.

  • Hugs 'n Stitches
    A ministry to local and global organizations. Quilts, scarves, booties, hats, and blankets are provided for individuals of all ages. (See Hugs 'n Stitches for more details.)
