A Lifestyle of Prayer

Lighthouse of Prayer is not a program but a lifestyle of praying for God's blessing upon the people in your "sphere of influence" (i.e., neighbors, co-workers, and fellow-students).

What Is A Lighthouse of Prayer?

It is a "household" of one or more believers praying specifically for the salvation and the needs of unbelieving people within their sphere of influence

Jesus' strategy from Luke 10:

He sent out His disciples to...

• Bless them (v 5)
• Fellowship with them (v 7)
• Pray for felt needs (v 9a)
• Share the Gospel (v 9b)

Lighthouse of Prayer: a Simple Strategy...

• Prayerfully establish your sphere of influence:
  • Your sphere of influence is those people for whom you are committing to regularly pray for.
• Prayer walk your sphere of influence.
• Build bridges with those in your sphere of influence.
• Reach out and meet needs within your sphere of influence.
• Pray...Pray..Pray... for those in your sphere of influence.
  At least one day per week, but preferably daily

What effect will this have?

• Your heart will be changed.
• There will be increased unity among the churches in San Jose.
• Prayer will blanket our entire city.
• People will come to know Jesus.
• God will be glorified.

Remember there will be significant spiritual battles, but Jesus has won the victory and He has sent us out into the world with the love of God and the good news of the Gospel!
