Since the earliest times of the Church, there is evidence of Lenten* preparation for Easter. The Lenten season was a time set apart for the followers of Christ to prepare for the celebration of Easter, while they hear God's word more frequently and devote more time to prayer. We at Hillside desire to do just that; prepare our hearts and minds as well as devote a season to pray. Pray not only for our growth as His children, but also for the Lord to use our gifts to impact the people around us.
A Prayer Journal (hard copy available at Hillside, online usage see below) is meant to be a guide and a tool providing a meaningful time of reconnecting with God’s heart for the salvation of the lost. This journal will assist you as you pray for the upcoming Outreach events we are providing as a blessing to our community. Please offer this season of Lent as an act of worship to the Lord and ask God to work His gracious and marvelous gift of salvation in the hearts of our friends and loved ones.
*The word Lent itself is derived from the Anglo-Saxon words lencten, meaning "Spring," and lenctentid, which literally means not only "Springtide" but also was the word for "March," the month in which the majority of Lent falls.

Purpose: to pray for the salvation of our neighbors and for their hearts to be opened to Christ. To invite them to the HuntMarch 15th Blood Drive 9am-3pm

Purpose: An eight week dinner and movie time to invite your friend, family and co-worker to learn more about what it means to follow Christ.
